We provide a broad range of services to industry groups, including counseling and representation concerning the development and implementation of fisheries law and policy. We also help form and represent fishery trade associations, research foundations, marketing associations and harvesting cooperatives. Paul MacGregor, the senior member of our fisheries group, has attended meetings of the North Pacific Fishery Management Council since 1978 and is one of the most knowledgeable players in the regulatory process. He also serves as an advisor to the United States Department of State on international fisheries and maritime boundary issues.

We have also developed expertise in the evolving area of "fishing rights", i.e., the increasingly prevalent governmentally granted privileges and private contracts that determine a vessel owner's and/or a vessel's eligibility to harvest fish. We have been engaged on behalf of clients in every phase of the evolution of rights-based fisheries management in the North Pacific, and are well-versed in all matters regarding these unusual forms of intangible property.
